The MP40 (MachinenPistole 1940) is the standard issued submachine gun of the military forces behind Nazi Germany.
History[]
The MP40 was originally designed based off of the MP38 and had undergone many changes. The weapon didn't see action until the year 1940, when it was issued to troops of the Luftwaffe; however was later also issued to tank crews and members of the Wehrmacht. It saw very little action while in the hands of the Schutzstaffel; however it was used by them on some occasions. These were also half of the inspiration that helped shape the STG-44; however Hitler at the time wanted more of these manufactured.

Just like Wolfenstein, in A Friend of a Nazi, It is the first usable SMG along with the Walther P38 and is one of the 3 weapons unlocked at the start with the 2 others being the Walther P38 and the Kar98, It is also the primary weapon used by the Nazis, BJ's new Allies. It's first appearance is in Train Station. In Dig Site, The BD-38, the MP40's semi automatic variant, can also be found, The magazine on BD-38 is restricted to 20 rounds and is semi-automatic. The BD-38 is used by US Army soldiers disguised as Nazis. The BD-38 appears under the Rifle category.
